Our Vision

Walk For Forests

Vision

This Spring, The Walk For Forests will be bringing to life the energy necessary to affect long-term change in the forestry industries practices. We will help people to realize that collectively we have the power to affect change.

The Walk is about recognizing the value, beauty and majesty of what is left of the forests in their pristine form. It is about allowing full immersion within the forest environment to nourish and replenish us, and allow us to witness the humbling magnificence of the towering giants of the South west.

To give people the opportunity to step outside their everyday lives, and to give us a sense of the grace of nature, whilst also witnessing and understanding the drastic changes that have taken place since white colonization.

To give people the opportunity to step outside their everyday lives, and to give us a sense of the grace of nature, whilst also witnessing and understanding the drastic changes that have taken place since white colonization.

The vision for this Walk is to help people to recognize that change has to occur on a drastic level for us as a species to continue existing, and to inspire people to be a part of that positive change, whilst realizing that the best way to do that is by coming together with a common vision and uniting with dedication in community.

The 2019 Walk For Forests, will take place from late September, up until early December, as we weave our way through bush-land, Forest, Farmland, towns, Trails and sites of Significance.

Our vision is to inspire in people the desire to be part of affecting change, while creating a growing and developing community structural form to allow that vision to take place.

Our vision is to permanently protect Old Growth forests, by changing the definition of ‘Old Growth.
